Disney Dumps Narnia

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

Disney has decided to dump The Chronicles of Narnia, which was going to release “The Voyage” in 2010. I guess due to it not making as much money as the first one they’ve decided not to risk their pocket books. I think one thing they fail to remember is what other movies may have been playing when it was released, not to mention when during the year it was released. Yes, it was dark but with today’s youth and those of us that read the books we all expected that. I’d hate for it to be all jellybeans and gum drops it would make me sick and I’d know it was a fake, at least these were very close to the book. Agree?

Leonardo DiCaprio’s a Busy Man

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

With ‘Revolutionary Road’ just finished filming now Leonardo is moving on to more movies. He’s already been picked for three new movies: Shutterland, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt, and The Chancellor Manuscript. Now each one comes out a year later so I’m guessing if he really wanted to he could put something else between each. Can you picture how busy he will be with press conferences and stuff?

Mamma Mia! Sequel

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

mamma_mia.jpg
EEEK! Can you believe it? This crazy mamma drama is actually thinking of having a sequel. I guess we all need to see what happened after the babies were born and growing up. Meryl Streep is really excited about it, course she wants the full reunion with all the guys from the cast.

She says, “Grand Mamma Mia! I like it! I’m up for doing a sequel, as long as you can get those fabulous boys back! It’s so gratifying it has been this phenomenon around the work. It says there’s an audience for something that appeals to a lot of women, something that might make them some money too.”

Titanic Reunites

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

Okay not really but the two leading characters in Titanic have now reunited and I hear there are some sparks on the set. Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio have come together for “Revolutionary Road.”  There were scenes where they were making love and fighting, according to her own director, hubby, it was a bit awkward. I’m sure it was, here these two had sparks in the Titanic and once again they were sparking it up on the set. Eeek, I’d be a bit worried. But something tells me she isn’t leaving her spouse for a co-star, like someone else we know.

Speed 3 and Keanu Reeves?

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

speed.jpg

No, something tells me it won’t matter how much they beg Keanu Reeves to appear in another Speed Movie, it just isn’t something he seems to want to do. Fox, however is keeping their fingers crossed that he’ll be the Hero of the day and jump on that bus.

This movie will be a prequel where they definitely need Keanu Reeves, without him I think they’ll have to show what Sandra Bullock’s character was doing before the show or something like that. But of course, we all know it was because the killer wanted Jack and Jack only. Either way, something is in the works. Would you see it? Will you see it with or without Keanu Reeves?

Planet of the Apes Remake

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

apes-trio.jpg

Looks like many of the movies/tv shows from our past are coming back to haunt us. This time hopefully for a better show or viewing then they got last time.  First up is Planet of the Apes, yes we know you loved it the first time but something tells me if done right you’ll love it even more and the younger generation will too. Hopefully it’ll be even better than Tim Burton’s idea of it from 2001. Here’e the details:

The movie is suppose to be a prequel to the actual Planet of the Apes and it’ll be called (at least for now) “Caesar.” There are rumors floating about the angle of this one so I’ll cover both. One is it’ll show how they all got started, the other is set for modern times and how genetic testing on an ape makes him go crazy and ape-like. I think they probably make him really smart, in which he turns around and makes his own colony and destroys the humans. Either way, it may be interesting to see the new idea. Hopefully it isn’t a King Kong type.

Shia LaBeouf to be in The Associates

Published by homemom3 under movie news Edit This

It seems that every movie Shia LaBeouf has been in lately becomes a box office hit. I’m not sure if it has something to do with his age or his looks but maybe it’s a mixture of that plus the movies he picks.

Currently LaBeouf is about to star in yet another soon-to-be-hit movie, “The Associates.”  Paramount is of course hoping he’ll continue to work his magic. In the movie he’ll play a graduate from Yale Law school that gets manipulating  into taking a job at a prestige law firm but learns about a mulit-billion dollar lawsuit that he feels should go a different way.

I can’t wait to see this one, not only is LaBeouf a good actor but those John Grisham books are excellent.

HSM’s Ashley and Vanessa Hudgens

Ashley Tisdale who plays Sharpay in High School Musical arrived first and told the reporters, “Moms are horrible, they come back with the rudest comments. One mom even screamed at Zac and told him he’s nothing without his fans. ” She also stated she gets annoyed with the paparrazi always following her.

Next up was Vanessa Hudgens, who plays Gabriella, was asked if she is still with Zac, but she didn’t want to answer. She absolutely refused it, even asked the young girl to ask another question. Hmm, either she is really private or they just got into a fight before the show. But once the subject changed she seemed to calm down and talk about being normal and how the media handles them.

Before leaving the press conference they do make sure to grab their chocolate, they seem like typical teen girls to me. How about you?

Angelina Jolie Cries during Interview

Angelina Jolie was interviewed for her newest movie release, “Changeling” which looks like a really intense movie. But it wasn’t until someone in the crowd asked her about her character and who inspired her the most that would make her cry. She softly spoke about her mother, Marcheline, aka Marshmallow, and tears filled her eyes. You can tell she truely loved her mother with all of her heart.

Twilight gets a Sequel

2008-05-10-twilight_poster_lg.jpg

For those of you that loved the Twilight Series by Stephanie Myer, you’ll love to hear that not only will there be Twilight the movie but now there will be a sequel. That’s right, a sequel is already in the works. It will continue to be in Fork, Washington and pick up just where the second movie leaves off. The screenwriter will be Melissa Rosenberg and is currently writing up those scripts for the second and third book. This should be very interesting. Are you looking forward to it?
